year of the lapin.

everyone i've talked to says this is the year. i'm not sure exactly what this is the year for, but i know what they are saying- i feel it too. maybe it's because it's the year of the rabbit and because rabbits are sweet and fertile, we generally have a good time thinking about it. what a good symbol for the year, sweet and fertile.

i was really glad to hear from giant robot, asking to be part of their annual "year of.." show this year. my good chum lapin volunteered to show us some moves- i made three small paintings and he stars in two, cameos in one. they are paintings on cedar and smell really nice.

if you have time, go and sniff them like rabbits!

Giant Robot is proud to host Year of the Rabbit, a group art show celebrating the 4709th resetting of the lunar calendar. Pieces will include illustrations, oils, pencils, prints, watercolors, sculpture, and other media–all dedicated to one of the most stubborn, but also most creative (and cute) animals in the Chinese zodiac.

xie xie ning!

You're not the only one feeling it. Perhaps it's because it's the end of a decade, but it feels like a great year to do some good stuff and make some real changes.

So yes, this is the year!
